Dr. Jing Zeng

Dr. Jing Zeng

Research Fellow at Post Doc Kolleg "Algorithmed Public Spheres" from November 2017 until March 2018.

Dr. Jing Zeng wrote her thesis the Digital Media Research Centre, at Queensland University of Technology. She received her MSc in Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford in 2014.

Jing’s research interests include online rumour, information control, and digital activism. Her PhD thesis analyses the generating and influence of rumour on Twitter and Weibo during times of crisis.

Jing also has research experience in a variety of International NGOs, including the United Nations and SOS village of orphans. Last, she is also a diver and marine conservation activist.
