Elena Stanciu was a junior researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) from March until August 2021. She worked on a
legal study on forms of disinformation as commissioned by the Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Elena studied law at the University of Passau, the Freie Universität Berlin and the Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy. In 2019, she graduated from her study programme, in which she specialised in competition and intellectual property law.
During her studies, Elena worked in the legal departments of two companies as a student employee. In January 2021, she completed her LL.M. degree in international technology law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In addition to her LL.M. studies, she worked as a research assistant at a law firm in the field of antitrust law and as a research assistant at the Munich Center for Technology in Society at the Technical University of Munich.
