From July 2009 to February 2013, Florian Bayer worked as a research assistant at the "Research Centre for the History of Broadcasting in Northern Germany". Within this research centre, which is a product of the cooperation between the Hans-Bredow-Institut, Universität Hamburg, and the NDR [Northern German Broadcasting], he specialised in projects concerning the media coverage of Nazi trials during the 1950s and 60s, continuous biography on the NDR as well as the questioning of contemporary witnesses and the history of broadcasting.
