Why, AI? – A New Online Learning Space, Unraveling Myths about Automation, Algorithms, Society and Ourselves

Why, AI? – A New Online Learning Space, Unraveling Myths about Automation, Algorithms, Society and Ourselves

Matthias C. Kettemann and Daniela Dicks have set up an online learning space to unravel myths surrounding artificial intelligence. It is designed as a free educational resource, all materials are provided with a CC-BY licence. This space is intended to address questions such as "How can AI be used to help society?" or "What do we want to achieve with AI?".

More about the online learning space

Abstract
Everyone talks about AI. But how does it change society? And how can we use it to help society? For that, we need to understand how AI works and how we can make it work for us. We need to do it right because there is so much to get wrong. This is why we have put together the online learning space “Why, AI?”. It is conceptualized as an open education resource (OER) and all material is licensed under CC BY. Let’s continue a conversation about what we want AI to do – and what we want to do with AI.
