Abstract
For more than ten years, the EU Kids Online research network has been analysing how children and young people in different European countries deal with the challenges of digitalisation and negative online experiences. The article focuses on some key findings on general online use and on how negative online experiences are dealt with. A look at our neighbours can help to reflect and adapt framework conditions and support services in order to enable adolescents to deal with media in a safe and self-determined way.
