New Junior Researcher Johannes Schmees

With Johannes Schmees, we have another junior researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research │Hans-Bredow-Institut. Since July 2019 he has been responsible for the interdisciplinary project of the Volkswagen Foundation “Deciding About, By and Together with Algorithmic Decision Making Systems” in the research area programme “Regulatory Structures and the Emergence of Rules in Online Spaces.”

Johannes Schmees studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Geneva and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster with a focus on information, telecommunications and media law.

He is particularly interested in public media and constitutional law in connection with artificial intelligence, to which he also devotes himself as part of his dissertation project.
