#UseTheNews! Wie erreichen Nachrichten die Generation Z(ukunft)?

Many 18- to 24-year-olds are no longer interested in news. Their opinion formers are influencers, friends, and family. Why is that the case? That's what the #UseTheNews campaign examined. According to the nationwide study, Gen Z does not think that it is important to stay informed about news and current events. They no longer trust news, and their skepticism of traditional media is on the rise. #UseTheNews is therefore planning the "Year of the News" for 2024. The campaign aims to address a key message of Gen Z, namely that journalistic news often lacks relevance to their personal everyday lives. Leonie Wunderlich and Meinolf Ellers will report on the ideas with which the #UseTheNews and "Year of the News" campaigns are approaching Gen Z in this panel.

Panel on Friday, 27 October 2023, from 3:10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Yellow Stage
