Tag des Wissens "Technik und Digitale Welten"

On the topic of "Data Analytics: Von der App-Entwicklung bis hin zum Online-Journalismus [From App Development to Online Journalism]", Prof. Walid Maalej will present the results of a collaborative project with the Hans-Bredow-Institut. The project ‘Forum 4.0’ around Prof. Dr. Walid Maalej develops methods based on text analyses, machine learning and empirical software engineering to use the potential of user comments in online communities or app stores more effectively. The aim is to systematically analyse, aggregate and visualise the content and quality of comments at that time in order to allow constructive participation.

The idea for this question was developed in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen and Julius Reimer from the Hans-Bredow-Institut within the project "SCAN – Systematic Content Analysis of User Comments for Journalists".

On Tag des Wissens [Day of Knowledge] on 22 September 2018, Hamburg researchers will present their projects on “Technik und Digitale Welten [Technology and Digital Worlds]” and offer activities to join in and try out from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the campus of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).

About 20 Hamburg universities, research institutions and institutes are on site and show current and future megatrends. Lectures, information stands and science shows complete the varied programme for young and old.
