„No Risk no fun? Riskanter Mediennutzung Heranwachsender wirksam begegnen“

At the annual conference of Aktion Jugendschutz on the topic "No Risk No Fun? Countering Risky Media Use by Adolescents Effectively", Dr Claudia Lampert will give the lecture "Rizika - Riskji - Risks: Online Experiences of Children and Adolescents in Europe".

About the event
Adolescents use the manifold possibilities of the internet to communicate, try out, present and position themselves. In doing so, they encounter problematic content. Forums and social networks can be platforms for risky contacts, control over one's own data becomes less, and vulnerability increases. The new Youth Protection Act was amended accordingly and places more responsibility on providers. However, this alone is by no means enough. What we need are educational offers that promote a sovereign and self-determined use of digital technologies and their contents. Modern protection of children and young people from harmful media can only be achieved by empowering children and young people.
