Mehr Demokratie online durch Plattformräte?

From 6 to 7 p.m., Prof. Dr. Matthias C. Kettemann will present our new project "PLATTFORM://DEMOCRACY: Platform Councils as an Instrument for the Democratic Reintegration of Hybrid Online Orders". Together with experts from politics, science and civil society, he will discuss the idea of platform councils.
The event will be live streamed. Link to the livestream

About the event

What exactly is behind the idea of platform councils? What can they do and what can they not do? What could they look like? And what do we know about German policy plans against the backdrop of changing European digital legislation? Matthias C. Kettemann talks about these questions with Misbah Khan (Member of the Bundestag, B'90/Die Grünen), and Leonhard Dobusch (Member of the ZDF Board of Directors; University of Innsbruck).
Ann Cathrin Riedel (Friedrich Naumann Foundation, LOAD e.V.) will moderate the event.
The project is funded by the Stiftung Mercator; the event is part of the Mercator Impuls.
